The Thank You Update is a free major content update for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Game director Guillaume Broche announced it on stage during the game's Game of the Year acceptance speech at The Game Awards 2025 — and it went live the same day.
What's new
Verso's Drafts — new area
A brand-new playable environment. Reach it from Act 3 with Esquie's underwater ability. It hides new weapons, secrets and some of the toughest encounters in the game.
Endless Tower
Challenging new late-game boss battles that keep escalating — the ultimate test for maxed-out builds.
13 new weapons (one family, named after Esquie)
Every character got new weapons in Verso's Drafts, all named after Esquie: Esquiso and Sucreso (Gustave/Verso), Bonbim, Cleim and Esquim (Lune), Esqium and Licorum (Maelle), Duollison, Esquion and Sucetton (Sciel), and Esquiaro and Cannaro (Monoco).
New Pictos, costumes, music & fixes
The update also adds new Pictos and Luminas, outfits for the whole party, new music records, plus a round of fixes and balance changes.

Is the Thank You Update free?
Yes — it is a free update on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. You only need the base game.
Will there be more DLC or an expansion?
No. On the game's first anniversary (April 24, 2026) the developers confirmed there will be no major DLC or story expansion. Sandfall Interactive has started work on its next game, a new entry in the Clair Obscur series.
